Each Spring from April 22‐29th, cinema meets the surf as Newport Beach rolls out the red carpet for its acclaimed annual film festival showcasing hundreds of features, short films, documentaries and animated films from around the world. In its 11th year, the film festival has been presented many acclaimed films such as the U.S. premieres of such noted films as “Waitress,” “Son of Rambow,” “King of Kong,” “The Illusionist” and the 2005 Best Picture Academy Award® winner “Crash.”
Reminiscent of the setting of the Cannes Film Festival in the south of France, the Newport Beach Film Festival features galas, yacht parties and the opportunity to interact with directors and screenwriters during this eight day celebration of the art of film.
